Today’s walk will take us through forest at Wenderholm Regional Park, past the small township of Waiwera, along the foreshore to Hatfield Beach and on to Arundel Reserve in Orewa. Much of the foreshore section will involve rock walking (can be slippery) but also has several secluded sandy beaches and interesting rock formations. If we make good time we can return to Waiwera using the hourly bus service (bring your Hop card), alternatively we will retrace our outward route.
If you would like to visit historic Couldrey House at Wenderholm Regionial Park after the walk it will be open for viewing
from 1- 4pm.
As the leader lives in Leigh, he will not be at Glen Eden. Please organise yourselves for car pooling or go directly to the Wenderholm Regional Park main carpark for 9.30am.
