We will stay overnight at Waipu Cove Holiday Park. Apart from using a camp site, the only option for a one night stay is by using either the Deluxe Cabins or the Kitchen Cabins. The bedding configuration is such that they are only suitable for a couple and 2 others or 3 singles.
The price for 2 adults for the Deluxe Cabins is $120/night for 2 or $140 for 3. The Standard Cabins are $105 for 2 and $125 for 3.
Programme:
Saturday- Waipu Coastal Walkway, which starts at the campsite and follows the coast to Waterman Drive near Langs Beach. This is a return trip. The scenery is amazing as there are large outcrops of Pancake Rocks, the only other place being Punakaiki on the South Island’s West Coast. There is a small stream crossing at the start. Start time will be 1.30pm.
Sunday-: We will do something in the Mangawhai area. Yet to be decided.
There is a very good eatery just over the road from the camp and we will eat there on Saturday night.
