We will walk down the farm to the harbour and then northwards along the beach to The Old
Prawn Farm, where we can have a look at the old ponds. This is a great spot for day trippers or
fishing. We will walk back along the farmland bordering the beach until we reach Te Rau
Puriri, where we will take a different route to get back to the start. There are some fabulous
views across the harbour (the Kaipara Harbour being the biggest in the S. Hemisphere!). You might want to consider bring a pair of binoculars if you have them. If you know where to look you can see Gibbs Farm.
Please meet at the car park next to the Kumeu Fire Station (opposite Oraha Road) at 8.45 am or
at the park at 10.00.
