There are 2 options today.
Option 1: Cyclists:
Meet at the end of Kerswill Place, Pakuranga at 9.45 to leave at the latest by 10.00. There are no toilets here, but there are some about 20 minutes away. There are lots of informative signs along the route. We will be on the Rotary Track most of the way to Half Moon Marina, some board walk to Little Bucklands Beach, Bucklands Beach and then up the steepest hill on the route to Musick Point. Watch out for flying golf balls.
Option 2: Walkers:
Get the 9.55 ferry from Downtown Auckland to Half Moon Bay Marina, arriving there at 10.33. Follow the same route as the cyclists to hopefully arrive at about the same time as the cyclists.
As it is the day after the shortest day, maybe we could have some special treats for lunch. Surprise us. Please contact the leader your intentions for the day – walking or cycling.
Ferries leave Half Moon Bay at 13.15 and 15.45pm
