Catch the 8.56am train from Glen Eden(or from elsewhere enroute) to arrive at Newmarket at 9.25am. Onehunga train leaves at 9.27am. (Hopefully they will connect, if they don’t it will be a wait till 9.57am).
Meet at the Glen Eden train station not at the Glen Eden Post Shop.
From Onehunga we will walk along Onehunga Bay, up Arthur St, Jellicoe Park and Onehunga Mall to Cornwall Park. Through Cornwall Park to Market Rd, then take in Mt St John and Mt. Hobson, thence back to Newmarket Station.
Moderate trip with lunch either at Cornwall Park or Mt St John.
Trip all dependent on the trains operating on weekends as they seem to be at present. If they are not, will possibly organise a meeting at Cornwall Park and walk to Mt. Hobson and back. Keep an eye on website for updates nearer the time.
