After many failed attempts we are off to Motuihe Island (hopefully!) for a part day of volunteering in the island’s nursery. Sixteen people indicate an interest in going. If you would like to come, please contact me and pay soon to secure a spot on the ferry.* NOTE: YOU CANNOT PAY ON THE DAY. The work is easy nursery work and there is no planting as the ground is too hard this time of year.
The work will take us through to about 1.00pm and then we are free to explore this wonderful island.
Attached are important instructions. Please read them carefully. These instructions should cover all you need to know. One of the attachments gives directions for driving and parking nearby to Red Boats. Alternatively you can catch the train departing at 7.20am from Swanson. Be sure to check the train is running as there are often maintenance disruptions on a Sunday. Contact the leader if wishing to car pool.
