Meet at the carpark by the bridge on Oruarangi Road, Mangere at 9am. Note, no Glen Eden meeting, but if wanting to car share, call John to see if he knows others coming.
(Note: Leave SH20A to get onto Ascot Road and then Oruarangi Road. Don’t try to go via Ihumatao road as this road is blocked part way along.)
We will walk through the Stonefields to an avocado orchard and from there to the Manukau Harbour. From there we walk around the coast on mainly firm sand but with a few bits of mud. This will bring us back to the Stonefields where we will head up to some magnificent ornamental fig trees. There may be the odd electric fence along this bit. Then back via some beaches to the carpark.
This will be quite easy and 3-5 hours depending on our speed.
