Approx. 3-4 hours return (15 kms) and mostly flat.
Meet 9AM at The Lynfield Youth and Leisure Centre Carpark at Margaret Griffin Park
Note: No meeting in Glen Eden
The walk will start from Margaret Griffin Park heading west to Keith Hay Park via Richardson Road.
From Keith Hay Park, we will head east to Walmsley Park then to Underwood Park . The tracks were
located alongside Oakley Creek with most of the tracks right next to the creek . Most of the tracks
are new and parks have been upgraded with amazing landscape features using original volcanic
rocks of the area , streams , sculptures , playgrounds , rest areas and nice and wide paths for
everyone to enjoy . One of the great features of this walk is crossing over the other side of SH20
motorway via the Te Whitinga Bridge Crossing.
From Underwood Park, we will head to Valonia Reserve to head back to Margaret Griffin Park via
New Windsor using the back roads.
