We will leave the Whatipu carpark, go along to the end of the campground and embark on the newly renovated Gibbons Track. Lots of stairs and boardwalks, bit of a grunt then down to the Pararaha campsite. After lunch I imagine we will walk down the new million dollar bridge and boardwalk towards the beach and have a bit of a gambol on the dunes!
A decision could be made here whether or not to return along the beach. While flat, it could be a very boring few more hours….. Otherwise if returning the way we came, a fairly short and very scenic day.
Meetup at Glen Eden 8.30 as usual otherwise see you at Whatipu by 9.30.
