Today we will take in many of the reserves and petite beaches of Auckland’s affluent suburbs from the city centre, through Parnell, around Hobson Bay Remuera, Orakei Basin, Purewa Cemetery to St Johns before looping back to Meadowbank or Orakei train stations. If we make it as far as Orakei, the Kings Plant Barn has a nice cafe to finish the day. Despite being a prodominately urban walk, we there are some slushy bits. ie Don’t wear your designer white trainers!
