Starting from the car park at Seddon Sports field on Meola Road (Between Pt Chev & Westmere) we will do a loop of Meola Reef, and then follow the boardwalk around the edge of Westmere to Coxes Bay and then do a mixture of coastal and street walking around to Pt Erin Park. There are some pretty little beaches along this coastline such as Herne Bay beach and Sentinel Road Beach. I hope to be at one of these for lunch, so a swim could be on the cards. From Pt Erin, we will continue around under the harbour bridge, along the new(ish) Westhaven Marina boardwalk to Victoria Park. We will bus back to our cars, so bring your HOP or Gold card. Bus stop is near the Bird Cage Pub – so with a bit of luck, we might miss a bus and have to pop in for refreshments while we wait for the next one!
There are a number of stairs to contend with today and if we follow the foreshore – lots of mud (A dry route can be taken if you have mudfobia). Bring walking poles if you have them and shoes with good grip.
