Enjoy some local history, suburban walking and city views from some of Auckland’s most iconic volcanic cones.
We will start our walk from Taumanu Reserve in Onehunga and take the Coast to Coast path through suburban Onehunga and Royal Oak up Maungakiekie/One Tree Hill.
From there we will continue through Newmarket and Epsom to summit Maungawhau/Mt Eden where we will stop for lunch.
We will loop back from Mt Eden, and return to the start of the walk.
Total walking time around 3-4 hours plus breaks.
If intending to go straight to the starting point, meet at 9.00am at at Taumanu Reserve, 30 Seacliffe Road, Hillborough.
