The plan is to stay at one of the Waitakere Huts off the Anawhata Road (beginning of Cutty Grass Track). Arrival on Saturday afternoon for evening Christmas meal, stay over night, and do a hike the next day. The choice of hut may dictate the nature of the meal and its preparation. Both huts are limited to sleeping about 20 people (we would be at one or the other, they are close-ish, but not side by side). Cost depends on which hut used and how many take up the opportunity, but will be $10- $30 per bunk plus a food contribution. We have held the event previously and is a fun event.
