Gibbons Track. We’ll try again after it was cancelled a few weeks ago because of the weather. Always a good walk up and over to the Pararaha and beach.
A 268 metre height gain grunt up the hill on the way and again on the way back. But a real bush track with great views. Not the easiest of walks, and a fairly long day.
Either meet at Glen Eden Post Shop to car pool at 8.30am or make your own way to the Whatipu Beach carpark by 9.30am.
I last took a trip here two or three years ago. Fingers crossed weather wise.
