Come and celebrate the King’s birthday.(It’s actually November, but never mind.)
We will leave from the car park just off Moumoukai Rd and climb up the Suspension Bridge Track where there are some great views before descending to the Wairoa Dam. From the dam we will climb up the Wairoa Loop track to another viewpoint before descending via the Wairoa Track back to the cars. Time should be approximately 4 hours.
Moumoukai Rd is approximately 5-6km beyond Hunua Village. Turn left onto Moumoukai Rd and follow for 1-2km. Turn left on to Otau Valley Rd. The car park is immediately down the hill on the left hand side.
Meet at Glen Eden at 8:30am or 9:30am at the start of the trip. If anyone is able to coordinate the Gen Eden car pooling, please contact the leader.
