Meet in the carpark in Fred Thomas Drive behind the Akoranga Bus Station.(This is the carpark after the roundabout on the left hand side and is used for parking by the arts centre and café. It is metalled and there is plenty of parking.) We will then follow the “green route” to Devonport, which follows a number of back roads and reserves to Devonport.  We will deviate, however before Devonport along Albert Rd and  Vauxhall Rd to bring us onto King Edward Parade. At the end of King Edward Parade is the Naval Museum which has a very nice café for afternoon tea at the mid-way point.  The return journey takes us back along Vauxhall Rd and down to Narrow Neck Beach. We then travel along Seacliffe Ave and Williamson Ave at which point we cross onto Bayswater Rd for a short distance, before rejoining the green route at the northboro reserve. Distance is approx.. 20kms. As there is some road cycling, it might pay to have a hi-vis vest.
